Is this going to be like Google's Picasa and how it is just the Windows version with WINE tacked on to help it run which is a good strategy? It's misleading, what it says on the Transgaming website, that it is a portability engine. Is this a portability engine or is this just Cedega ported to OS X? That is probably the one thing that WINE lacks is hte copy-protect aspect that CEdega "subcribe" to, but that is only relevant to games and only games that use copy protect
#Transgaming cider download crackHavn't been able to play though since I need to find a noCD crack I tried installing Dawn Of war this weekend (needed a ork-killing fix) and I got it installed!! the GFX test was soo smooth. I stopped after that 6months into a year subscription Then Punkbuster did something and all punkbuster game and Cedega stopped working, did they fix it? no becuase it was WoW that was in flavour. They seem to go with what is most popular atm (I guess to bring ppl in) and thus once BF42 went out of flavour all the patches started going into newer games (I think it was WoW) every now and again BF42 would slightly imporve but that was prolly due to them fixing something critical to another game So I did subscribe to Cedega and it was great for quite a while UNTIL how they work became clear Yup I second that!!! Quite a while ago I tried WINE with some games (Tib Sun for one) and it was just abt workable but I was into BF1942 at the time. Wine is getting better at supporting d3d with every release. Do not know if it made it into mainline wine, but I suspect it did, or will for 0.9.19. #Transgaming cider download PatchThe last gfx glitch had a patch sent in a couple days ago. For instance, HL2 was all black with the 0.9.15 release, and by 0.9.18 it runs almost perfectly. Just keep trying the latest wine, I talked to the wine devs, they are hard at work on wined3d. #Transgaming cider download installIn Cedega I could never get DoW to run propporly I trued with WINE last night and the install went great but I need a noCD crackĮverything runs great native, and cedega runs great, but wine just doesn't do it.Īnybody able to help me, cause I would gladly stop paying for cedega if Wine ran everything I play. The only thing Cedega has over stock WINE (the 0.9.18 release is GREAT!!!) is being able to play copy protected games! Maybe more developers will look at them as viable platforms. The games it plays, it plays well with minimal fuss.ĭon't get me wrong, when wine gets to the point where I can play my games without having to have a special patch for each of them, I'm switch right over, but it's not there yet.īesides, anything that opens up Mac/Linux as viable gaming platforms will be a good thing. There are certain games that it can play passably, but on balance you have to accept that it will play your game with some major compramise for example Battlefield 2 without punkbuster support is very difficult to play, hard to find servers.Ĭedega is in a fine state. I have to agree, maybe emulation technology will somehow come through for us but given the current state of cedega I have to agree, this isn't something that really wows me as is. It barely runs the ones I already had and couldn't give up. So what? They've been working on cedega for years and it's still so shitty I won't ever buy a windows game again. I know some companies work with them to make the games work out-of-box It'll just show how easily companies can port if they get 3rd party help from Transgaming. They are a business, and want to make more money. So where's the problem here? Nobody is forced to buy Cedega and surely Transgaming can use their money for anything they want. When Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, they make a vacuum cleaner. #Transgaming cider download macHow nice of Transgaming to take money from GNU/Linux users and then use the money to make some Mac product. Sure will bring more games to MAC/Linux but dirty hack method They are just bundling WINE/Cedega into the game executable Idk if they have plans for a linux release but that would be cool Posted: Thu 8:47 pm Post subject: TransGaming "Cider" Gentoo Forums Forum Index Gamers & Players Gentoo Forums :: View topic - TransGaming "Cider"
